About Us
Africa Diseases Prevention and Research Development (ADRAP) Initiative is a non governmental organization incorporated in Nigeria in 2013 with the aim of creating and sustaining a world class institution that supports the implementation of topical and outcomes driven human diseases research, health care system intervention and continuous medical education as well as the use of innovative learning techniques to continually impact knowledge.
At ADRAP Initiative, we continue to drive quality in all we do and this has made quality outcomes our guiding principle.

Objectives
- Provide health related services including direct diseases intervention and health systems strengthening
- Organize and execute continuous health education programs including short courses, workshops, etc, through innovative teaching and learning methods
- Support and undertake human subject research with the aim of enriching knowledge and positively influencing health outcomes
- Publish periodicals including scientific journals and newsletters

Management & Board
- Dr. Joseph Enegela, MBBS, PGDFounder
Dr. Joseph Enegela is the founder of Africa Diseases Prevention and Research Development Initiative.
With an extensive experience HIV/AIDS management and programming, as well as intervention programs in tuberculosis. Dr. Joseph’s research interests also includes the Hepatitis C and B viruses, and implementation programs.
He obtained his MBBS from Ahmadu Bello University and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Global Health and Infectious Disease from the University of Edinburgh.
Dr. Joseph has also had extensive training on anti-retroviral therapy in low income countries from the Institute of Tropical medicine Antwerp as well as clinical experience in HIV/AIDS management from the University of Maryland school of Medicine.
A Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health UK and Certified by the American Academy of HIV Medicine, he has served in various positions on the AIDS Relief grant under the University of Maryland School of Medicine Nigeria program, Center for Clinical Care and Clinical research and is currently Deputy Project Director and Senior Technical Advisor on the IPSAN grant with Pro-Health International.

Mr. Odu is a seasoned Pharmacist and program manager who has been in the development sector for over 7 years.
He has provided leadership to ADRAP technical teams in terms of rural health interventions and programs.
A Pharmacy graduate of the University of Jos; Mr Odu has various management and programs training and holds a Masters degree in Health Management from the Benue state University.

Dr. Mohammed Umar is a doctor with an overriding interest in developing meaningful public health interventions, with the aim of providing standard level healthcare in areas of limited resources.
His pet interest is in Cerebrovascular diseases and Medicine of Old Age (Geriatric Medicine). He has achieved vast experience of public health work being involved in USAID-sponsored Polio Eradication program via Community Participation for Action in the Social Sector (COMPASS).
Dr. Umar is an alumnus of the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, and has a Masters degree in Public Health from the School of Medicine, University of Dundee, Scotland.
He also obtained his Diploma of Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom and is a collegiate member of the Royal College of Physicians of London.
Dr. Umar is a member of various professional organization including the European and World Stroke organization, British Geriatric society and a premium professional member of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.

Dr. Grace is a seasoned administrator and social entrepreneur with over 14 years experience in development.
She holds a masters degree in public administration from the Benue state University and has awarded Doctor of Humanities (Hornoris Causa) by the Commonwealth University of Belize in 2013. She is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management and a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration.
Dr. Grace has had numerous training at the Global Training Consulting in London and the Dubai Leadership summit in the UAE.
A wearer of many hats, Dr. Grace is also the founder of the Grace Adogo Housewives Support Initiative, the CEO of Communication and Entertainment limited, owner of Grade International School, Kubwa, Abuja, the publisher of The Origin magazine and immediate past coordination of the Society Against Prostitution and Child labour in Nigeria.
She is a recipient of numerous national and international awards and is a passionate advocate of the rights of all individuals especially, the less fortunate in the society.

Dr. Andrew Enegela is a young, vibrant specialist in Family Medicine, with particular interests in cardiovascular health, obesity, and lifestyle modification. He is also passionate about children’s health and public health research.
He trained at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria, and brings the synergy of a robust clinical experience and outreach implementation to the ADRAP team.
Dr. Andrew is dedicated to research in rural communities, particularly focused on noncommunicable diseases and the development of sustainable strategies for risk reduction.
He loves classical and liturgical music.
